MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Tuesday, January 22, 2008 <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at <br />approximately 8:00 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz called <br />the meeting to order. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Marquaxdt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills <br />and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Mrs. Cinco and NIr. Saponaro <br />? Also Present: Mr. Diemert, Mr. Cappello, Chief Dearden, Mr. Marrelli, <br />Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Mr. Thomas, <br />Mr. Dinardo, Mrs. Kal'ina and Mrs. Betsa <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Council President Bucklioltz read off a memo prepared by the Mayor. Mayor Rinker apologized <br />for being unable to attend tonight's meeting. It is a great joy of his to administer these oaths. He <br />also indicates in his memo, believe him, if he could be here he would, he never misses an <br />opportunity for a captive audience like this to go on and on and on and on with his love for this <br />Village and visions. <br />Council President Buckholtz further stated, on behalf of Mayor Rinker and himself, that we <br />thrive on community involvement and citizenship and the fact that everyone. is here. This is one <br />of the best turnouts we have had. What has happened over the last five or ten years with our <br />committees regenerating themselves with new people is great. Everyone here is a testament to <br />that. It is a big deal to have everyone here. <br />OP?ENPORTION <br />5-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. <br />Council President Buckholtz introduced Tony Russo, a resident of Mayfield Village and a Judge <br />of the Domestic Relations Court for Cuyahoga County. <br />Tony Russo introduced his wife Patty, stating that they have been residents of Mayfield Village <br />on Beecher's Brook for close to 30 yeaxs now. He has been a judge in Domestic Relations Court <br />for the past 15 years. There is a vacancy on the Probate Court with Judge Donnelly's recent <br />retirement. He is ri.inning for his position.
