Last Wednesday they had a tax rebate
forum thanks to the County Auditor's office. They came out and helped people who don't file
income tax fill out forms to get their stimulus check. This Wednesday is the semi-finals of the
Senior Superstar Contest. It is at Liberty in Chardon. Last time, Council asked for the names of
our participants: Brian Cinco and Joanne Smakula, two Village residents. Two non-residents
who participated are: David Klein and Patrick Niland. At the same time that is going on, we
have a senior program from Senior Homesitter Connection regarding home healthcare services.
We have a trip to the zoo and the West Side Market on June 27th. They still have a few
openings, so if anyone is interested, please contact their office.
STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that their last meeting was on June 11th. They
discussed 50's night preparations. We had a good bank of volunteers from other committees
besides the activities committee. Everything went very well thanks to service, police and fire.
The next thing we have is the sumrrier concert for the 6th-8?' graders at the pool. We will have a
DJ there. It goes from 7:30-9:30. Volunteers will be there at 7:00 p.m. The next event is July
St". Our next meeting is July 2°d to firm the activities up. Mrs. Mills added that the posters were outside during Cruise Night.
Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no meeting.
