Regular Council Minutes 8-16-04 'Page 9 • Presentation of Fiscal Officer's Certificate to Council by Finance Director Brett for Ordinance 2004-34 Mr. Brett said you should have a copy at each of your seats and it is signed. [It was presented.] • A motion to authorize Mayfield Village to join the Multi-Agency Radio Communications System -Ohio MARCS -Initial Cost ($9,000 one-time start-up fee) - plus a yearly subscription fee per radio (estimated cost $2,052 based on 9 radios) Mrs. Cinco said that was pulled from the agenda; Chief Mohr will now explain why. Chief Mohr said I have received confirmation from the State Health Department and Emergency Management that we are receiving a $54,000 grant for this. I am waiting for final verification in writing from Columbus but we don't have to pay for it. Council President Buckholtz said good job. • A motion to authorize additional payment not to exceed $8,700 to Rick Christian at 510 SOM Center Road for right-of--way take with regard to SOM Widening Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize additional payment not to exceed $8,700 to Rick Christian at 510 SOM Center Road for right-of--way take with regard to SOM Widening. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There were no comments. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized First ReadinE of Ordinance No. 2004-35 ,entitled; "An emergency ordinance to provide for the issuance and sale of $4,500,000 of notes of Mayfield Village, Ohio, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds for the purpose of acquiring certain real estate together with the existing buildings and other structures located thereon and any related equipment and certain other real estate for recreational purposes, constructing facilities for storm water Management and Wetlands Preservation, installing roadway safety and message signage and signalization at the intersections of North Commons Boulevard and White Road, Parkview Drive and S.O.M. Center Road, White Road and S.O.M. Center Road, and Sandalwood Drive and S.O.M. Center Road, and improving the Parks and Recreation system of the Village by acquiring certain real estate constructing and lighting ball fields, together with the necessary appurtenances thereto, and otherwise improving that system, and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
