Regular Council Minutes <br />8-16-04 <br />'Page 9 <br />• Presentation of Fiscal Officer's Certificate to Council by Finance Director Brett for <br />Ordinance 2004-34 <br />Mr. Brett said you should have a copy at each of your seats and it is signed. [It was presented.] <br />• A motion to authorize Mayfield Village to join the Multi-Agency Radio <br />Communications System -Ohio MARCS -Initial Cost ($9,000 one-time start-up fee) - <br />plus a yearly subscription fee per radio (estimated cost $2,052 based on 9 radios) <br />Mrs. Cinco said that was pulled from the agenda; Chief Mohr will now explain why. <br />Chief Mohr said I have received confirmation from the State Health Department and Emergency <br />Management that we are receiving a $54,000 grant for this. I am waiting for final verification in <br />writing from Columbus but we don't have to pay for it. <br />Council President Buckholtz said good job. <br />• A motion to authorize additional payment not to exceed $8,700 to Rick Christian at 510 <br />SOM Center Road for right-of--way take with regard to SOM Widening <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize additional payment not to exceed <br />$8,700 to Rick Christian at 510 SOM Center Road for right-of--way take with regard to SOM <br />Widening. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />There were no comments. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />First ReadinE of Ordinance No. 2004-35 ,entitled; "An emergency ordinance to provide for the <br />issuance and sale of $4,500,000 of notes of Mayfield Village, Ohio, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds for the purpose of acquiring certain real estate together with the existing <br />buildings and other structures located thereon and any related equipment and certain other <br />real estate for recreational purposes, constructing facilities for storm water Management and <br />Wetlands Preservation, installing roadway safety and message signage and signalization at the <br />intersections of North Commons Boulevard and White Road, Parkview Drive and S.O.M. <br />Center Road, White Road and S.O.M. Center Road, and Sandalwood Drive and S.O.M. <br />Center Road, and improving the Parks and Recreation system of the Village by acquiring <br />certain real estate constructing and lighting ball fields, together with the necessary <br />appurtenances thereto, and otherwise improving that system, and declaring an emergency." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />
