This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"New Business" only. <br />Ken Gawry, 483 S.O.M. Center Road, introduced himself and said, just a question about <br />the new bike path. When I first saw that it was finished in front of our house and I looked <br />down it, I kind of wondered what these guys were drinking when they put it in. It was quite <br />wavy and I thought maybe they were trying to do it for aesthetic purposes and I see the <br />nice graceful curves there but when I took into consideration all the bikers and skaters .a-t----_....._,\ <br />I've seen go by my house the past few years I thought in contrast to what this you g lady said <br />about it has been safe so far, this one looks pretty dangerous. We get bikers going owr~--•.-__-..--- <br />there at 25 miles per hour-if not more-coming in on some of those skaters, there cou <br />be problems. It looks like the curves are a little hairpin. I don't know if that is part of the A <br />plans or who designed it. , <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will take a look at that and maybe there are places <br />that need to be lit more or-you, know, reflectors or something. Thank you for bringing <br />that to our attention. <br />Council President Buckholtz requested a motion to go into Executive Session for the <br />purposes of litigation. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to recess into Executive Session for <br />the purposes of discussing litigation. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Council President Buckholtz said I would like to let the audience know there will be <br />nothing else we will be voting on when we return; you are welcome to stay or free to go. <br />Mr. Thomas said I forgot to mention there will be a Menorah Lighting tomorrow night at <br />7 p.m. <br />Council went into Executive Session at 9:15 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 9:45 p.m. <br />ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Mrs. Mills asked if Mayor Rinker would write a letter to Carole Marrie and Wanda Hejcl [for <br />decorating the Village for the holidays.] The 3 of us worked like troopers to get all the wreaths <br />and decorations done. <br />Dr. Parker said I want to say that I am not opposed to the trailways but I am concerned about <br />potential safety issues and they may not have been addressed so I would like us to maybe have <br />1 <br /> <br />
