Regular Council Meeting Minutes 1-20-09 Page 2 . Motion to approve the selections for the Committees and other administrative positions for 2009. Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to approve the selections for the Committees and other administrative positions. ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried NAYS: None Selections Approved COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER: Mayor Rinker stated we are like the mouse that roared. He does not think it is lost on anyone with the coincidence of much more historical events, but he was struck by our new President's address today where he was commenting about a new era of responsibility and made a point of addressing us all as citizens. Mayor Rinker would like to think that in Mayfield Village in our own unique way we have been responsible citizens for many years now and we are really enjoying the fruits of those labors and he means that in all sincerity. We are a small community, but Mayor Rinker thinks in many ways we have shown the way for a lot of other communities that getting involved and participating, of being responsible citizens pays the dividends that we all benefit from. It is always enjoyable this time of the year with such nice weather outside to enjoy being able to swear in those of you who were able to make it and continue in serving your community. With the assistance of Mrs. Cinco, we will do this like the commercial on t.v. where the delivery service does the roll call to make sure everyone is present and accounted for. Mayor Rinker will read the names of the various committees. We will take each committee by group and those of you who are here, you may come front and center and be sworn in.
