Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br />6-15-09 <br />Page 10 <br />ARCHITECT - Ron DiNardo <br />There was no report. <br />HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina <br />There was no report. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that we did a run down on the Pancake Breakfast. <br />We have the summer concerts all in place. Cruise Night, of course, was Saturday night which <br />was wonderful. Our Service Department has to be commended for their work before, during and <br />after. It is just fantastic, you never know anything happened here. When residents are telling <br />you that they go through the Village in the morning and they can't find any debris, that's pretty <br />good. Mr. Thomas said, you forgot to mention the two Safety Services. Mrs. Mills said, the <br />police have a lot of fun. The Activities Committee appreciates everyone's work here. The <br />volunteers especially. Our fireworks are on July Sth. We did discuss the Community Garden and <br />there is an article in the Rec bulletin and the Voice of the Village about any interest in the <br />gardens before we go forward with that. Our next meeting will be June 24th. We have a lot of <br />other things to discuss at that time also. <br />Architectural Review Soard - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no meeting, so there is no <br />report. <br />Beautifieation Committee- Mr. Saponaro reported that there is a meeting coming up on June <br />29t . On May 26` , there was a ceremony for the children who participated in the Keep Mayfield <br />Village Clean program, which is a program that was adopted by the Mayfield Schools. They had <br />posters that were displayed here at the Civic Center. We had a separate reception. Mr. Saponaxo <br />was not able to make it due to a death in his family. Bill and Patsy came. Thank you. People <br />from the Committee were there and were able to speak. Dr. Price was there. There were some <br />of the Principals there. The children take it very seriously. The art teacher really thinks it's a <br />great part of the curriculum. We are happy to be a part of that. It was very well received. Of <br />course we will do it again next year. Our next meeting is Monday, June 29th at 7:00 p.m. in <br />Civic Hall. We will be concentrating on the memorial benches. Hopefully we will get the word <br />out regarding that. The baskets have been picked up and have been placed. The container <br />gardens look beautiful. Mayor Rinker said, a lot of feedback, very very good. Mr. Saponaro <br />said we have been hearing a lot of good feedback from them, the colors and so forth. People are <br />really happy. When they first went up, they weren't as grown as we wanted them to be, but we <br />also did this a lot later than we normally would. Mr. Saponaro was really pleased with how <br />much they filled in in that time period. In our July meeting we are going to focus, Doug and his
