MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Monday, September 21, 2009 - 8:00 p.m. <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in regulax session on Monday, September 21, 2009 at <br />approximately 8:05 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz called <br />the meeting to order. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marrie, Mr. Marquardt, <br />Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker and Mr. Saponaro <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Diemert, Chief Dearden, Mr. Wynne <br />Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, Lieutenant Shrefler, <br />Mr. Cappello, Mr. Dinardo, Mr. Thomas, <br />Mrs. Kalina and Mrs. Betsa <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. <br />Pat McGreew <br />6728 Walnut Drive <br />Ms. McGreevy is here to talk about three separate issues regarding drilling that they wanted to make <br />Council aware of. The first is that there is a Bill which has been submitted through Niehaus and the <br />rest of the industry on drilling. It is being circulated to the various Mayors. Ms. McGreevy believes <br />Mayor Rinker may have gotten a copy of that. <br />Mayor Rinker stated that we have disseminated it. <br />Ms. McGreevy continued, it is through Representative Dolan. It's not really being identified as the <br />industry Bill. Ms. McGreevy wanted to make sure everyone understands that it is not what we the <br />citizens are supporting. They feel there are a lot of deficits there. It does not eliminate mandatory <br />pooling. It does not give back local control. It is silent on local control. It doesn't change the <br />setbacks and the other issues regarding actually dumping of hazardous wastes. The disposition and <br />the disclosure are not what they feel appropriate.
