Mayfield Township Historical Society <br />?.. ,,.,., <br />.? .?... ; .??r... <br />.s..,. ? <br />Januaty 30, 2006 <br />The Mayfield Township Historical Society will celebrate its 30th Anniversary this year. We <br />began our meetings in Septemlier of 1976. We have accomplished many of our goals in the <br />restoration of the Mayfield Township Historic House by preserving both our heritage and <br />artifacts from the original Mayfield Township. <br />Tomorrow, in cooperation with Mayfield School system, we will host 3 tours from <br />Center School third graders, 80 plus in all, who axe studying their local history <br />Our subscription Turkey Raffle raised $975 with all prizes going to township residents. <br /> <br />The 1858 Cuyahoga County map, a restored copy of the rare original owned by the <br />Society, is ready. It is an exceptional and minutely detailed 58" x 46" piece, mounted on acid <br />free board to preserve it for future generations. <br />Our annual dues have been increased this year to $10 per person &$20 for a family <br />membership. Rising costs in maintenance and utilities prompted this action. <br />October is Quilt Show month this year, our 12'' Biannual presentation. "Remembering <br />Williamsburgh" is the Theme. We will have publicity& information in the coming months. <br />We will have Dr. Phillip Price speaking on Mary Todd Lincoln at our February. <br />8, 2006 meeting at 7:30pm at the Mayfield Village Community Room. Installation of our new <br />off'icexs will be held. President Richard Negrelli, VP Elton Leppelmeir Secretary, Pat Savitski, <br />Treaurer, Connic Steinberg. We sincerely thank, A1 Scaccia, for his four years of devoted duty <br />as Pr$sident for the 5ociety. <br />
