Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
February 27, 2006
Page 2
COIVIlVIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BILL BUCKHOLTZ
Council President Buckholtz had no comments at this time.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
SERVICE - Douglas Metzung
Mr. Metzung had nothing to report this evening.
BUILDING - John Marrelli
Mr. Marrelli reported that you may have noticed that 651 Beta Drive is underway. That
is the Progressive Inspection Center. Other than that, Mr. Marrelli has on his desk about 6
drawings for interior renovations on Beta Drive, Panzica property and Mt. Vernon. Things axe
picking up.
If anyone has any questions regarding the annual report distributed recently, feel free to
give Mr. Marrelli a call.
Mr. Marrelli will be out of town next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
ENGINEERING - Tom Canpello
Mr. Cappello reported that we are working on the Highland Road, Metropark and Zorn
sanitary sewer plans. Mayor Rinker asked if there was any timetable on that. Mr. Cappello
indicated that we would like to have them ready for bidding by June if not a little earlier, but we
will shoot for June.
PROPERTY MANAGER - Llovd Chapman
Mr. Chapman reported that we continue to work with three businesses and City
Architecture so that the Village's vision for how the downtown area might look can be
communicated with and through Council as well as the business owners. We are also working
with two private property owners right now on a couple of issues as well.
Mr. Buckholtz asked if we have any plans to meet as a group for a follow up meeting.
Mr. Chapman indicated that there is not anything to look at right now. There were two meetings
within the last week, but City Architecture has not drawn anything new yet, so there is not
anything new to look at yet. We expect in about 10 days to complete some further renditions of
a couple of things they are working on.
