Mayor Rinker asked if the warranty was any
different. Mr. Brett indicated that if done all at once, the warranty would be three years on
everything.
Mr. Marne added that this is the same contractor who performed the work when the pool
went in. We had a little bit of problem with the paint which was not their fault, but he came back
and sandblasted it two years later. Doug and Bill are very pleased with this company.
Mr. Buckholtz asked if the work will commence before the weather. Mr. Brett indicated
the work will commence now.
Dr. Parker asked if there were any kind of concluding date notated so that we do not get
caught in a Catch 22. It was suggested that October 15th be the completion date. The company will
be advised that this is a stipulated condition.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: Norte Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
First Reading of Resolution No. 2006-15, "A Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Finance
Director to seek financial assistance from the State Issue I Clean Ohio Program for funding for
Phase I of the Mayfield Village Green Corridor Project". Introduced by Mayor Rinker and
Council as a Whole.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marne, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2006-15.
Mr. Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Brett report that he will try in the next four days to put together an application for
Clean Ohio to try and get some funding for the interior pathway between here and
Highland Road and see if we can leverage some of the money that we are already
committed to spend on this to get some ENRAC funds for the path and hopefully some
lighting.
Mr. Marquardt asked how much Mr. Brett expects to get. Mr. Brett indicated he is
probably going to shoot for $450,000. Mr. Marquardt asked how much the total is. Mr.
Brett stated that he would have to look back through the year to see what we already put
in. Mr. Marquardt asked how much additional we will have to go in on top of the
$450,000. Mr. Brett stated that he has not done the numbers yet. He would guess
