There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $264,476.72 to Westlake Reed <br />Leskosky for theater and exterior design for the Civic Center (estimated cost $2.662 <br />million). <br />1 <br /> <br />Council President Buckholtz explained that this is for the architectural drawings. <br />Mr. Saponaro reported that this was not approved by the Finance Committee. <br />The motion will be approved and then turned down. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of <br />$264,476.72 to Westlake Reed Leskosky for theater and exterior design for the Civic Center <br />(estimated cost $2.662 million). <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Saponaro indicated that there was really no discussion in Finance. We reviewed the Caucus <br />Minutes. We did not approve this motion. This just came in this afternoon. Mr. Marrelli put it <br />on the agenda. <br />Dr. Parker added that before we spend this money we want to know how they are proposing to <br />finance it. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if this was for their previous drawings. Dr. Parker indicated it <br />was for their new drawings. Council President Buckholtz indicated that this is to build the <br />facility. We are clearly not going to build the entire facility. <br />Mayor Rinker stated that his understanding is that they were engaged to give us a feasibility <br />study. The study provided a report on what can be done for $2.2 million. Council's feeling is <br />that it is not feasible. <br />
