Regular Council Meeting <br />1-29-07 <br />Page 20 <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if these will go back out to bid next year. Mr. Metzung <br />stated that they would. He further reported that he is attending a meeting on Wednesday of other <br />Cuyahoga County municipalities that are looking to form a consortium for rubbish collection. <br />We will see how that goes. We may join that or we may just go out on our own. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Motion to authorize acceptance of request of J&J Refuse for a price increase in the <br />amount of $0.50 per house, per month, effective January 1, 2007. <br />Motion Amended to Read: <br />"Motion to authorize acceptance of request of J&T Refuse for a price increase in the <br />amount of $0.39 per house, per month, effective JanuaYy 1, 2007." <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize acceptance of request of J&J <br />Refuse for a price increase in the amount of $0.39 per house, per month, effective January 1, <br />2007. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any additional discussion. Mr. Metzung stated <br />that if we are looking for some clarification on that, $0.06 of that per household is for a tipping <br />fee that was increased by Cuyahoga County Solid Waste. This is in conjunction with doing <br />some hazardous collection pick ups and things of that nature that they are going to be able to <br />provide better service. That is where $0.06 of that is going. The other $0.33 is for a fuel <br />surcharge increase for the company. When they bid this, they bid it at the low end. Now the <br />price of fuel has gone up so high. Frankly, they were probably working at a deficit in Mayfield <br />Village. Mr. Saponaro added that the net effect is $5,616.00. That is the increase annually. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Increase Authorized <br />Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $3,684.24 to White Water <br />Adventures for 2007 Trip for Teen Camp. <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of <br />$3,684.24 to White Water Adventures for 2007 Trip for Teen Camp. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Saponaro explained that this <br />is a pass-through. We will collect the funds. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br /> <br /> <br />
