(440) 461-0055 soc January 26, 2007 Happy New Year - 2007 We have an ambitious schedule this coming year. January is membership month. You will find your renewal application at the end of your newsletter. We need your active participation in the Society as well as your patronage and support. Send Wanda Hejcl your 2007 dues and help keep the the Historical Society serving our community. The Election of officers begins our Wednesday February 14t' meeting. These names have been submitted by the nomination committee. Richaxd Negrelli - President Eldon Leppelmeier - Vice President Connie Steinberg - Treasurer Pat Negrelli - Acting Secretary We are in need of a dedicated member to serve as our secretary for the coming yeax. The job consists of taking and recording the monthly meeting minutes and that of Board meetings, as called. It is an important job and we would greatly appreciate a member to volunteer his or her services. Contact Pat Negrelli at (440) 946-2682 with your interest to serve. February 8"`, Center School will have 75, 3rd graders visit the Historic House to learn about early life in the Township. It is par-t pr their Social Studies Heritage Class. We have had a great time at these visits, the children's questions and comments are noteworthy. They do a Time-line work sheet and then send individual notes to us on what they enjoyed and observed. We keep these on file in our library, available for you to read. The Society will host a meeting of the Northeast Ohio Consortium of Historical Societies on April 28th at the Mayfield Village Civic Center. On June 13th we will serve Luncheon for the Shaker Chapter of the DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution, at the Historic House, per their request. They like our lunches and our Museum. ? ? 11
