Regular Council Meeting
2-26-07
Page 18
Motion to authorize expenditure in an amount not to exceed $15,500.00 to Showtime
Sound Company for audio system for Civic Hall.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize expenditure in an amount not to
exceed $15,500.00 to Showtime Sound Company for audio system for Civic Hall.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Marrelli explained that this is for the sound system for Civic Hall. Mr. Saponaro indicated
that everyone received the materials in their packet which lays it out and shows how it is going to
work.
Mayor Rinker added that this is an excellent deal. We have looked at a variety of options over
the last several years. It is mind-boggling. We have never been able to get anyone to give us
anything in the ballpark that we are talking about. What is nice about this is that it gives stability
to have in place in this room what sounds to be a very good quality level of sound so that you
can hear us. Also, when we take tables down, it should look very unobtrusive. It is the best of
both worlds. We will have good quality sound. Except for the speakers which will be pretty
strategically located, no one is going to be able to tell the difference. The cost is great.
Council President Buckholtz advised that he hopes it does not discourage anyone from coming to
Council meetings because they will have to hear us.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
First Reading of Ordinance No. 2007-04, entitled,
positions and compensation related thereto for the
Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
"An Emergency Ordinance creating certain
Village's 2007 Summer Camp Program."
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2007-04.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
