Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, July 18, 2016 <br />Page 7 <br />50 people going on an August trip to tour Cleveland. It is sold out. Finally, the August <br />Foot Clinics will beheld on the 12th and 26th of August. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, to clarify, the CPA you are talking about is the Community <br />Partnership on Aging? <br />Mr. Thomas replied, the Community Partnership on Aging, correct. Thank you. <br />Committee Reports: <br />Activities Committee -Mrs. Mills - I would like to thank the Service Department, Fire <br />Department and Police Department for all the work they did at the fireworks. They handled the <br />traffic very well. Everything went very well. The next Activities meeting is not until <br />September. <br />Citizen's Advisory Committee - Mr. Williams -Our next meeting is this Thursday at 6:30. We <br />are meeting at the pavilion at the pool. <br />Commission on Aging -Mrs. Mills - Mr. Thomas covered just about everything except that our <br />next meeting is September 15th at 11:00 at the new Community Room. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Saponaro -The Committee met on July 11th and this evening. <br />There are 8 items on the agenda that were approved and will be discussed in length on the floor. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills -Tomorrow night we will be going down to Chagrin Falls to the <br />Northeast Cuyahoga Regional Historical Society meeting. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt -Planning and Zoning met on July 11th. There were <br />two proposals on the agenda, one was building and site modifications for Premier Development <br />Partners at 6655 Beta Drive for Mars Electric. The other proposal was a conditional use permit <br />for Ararat Martial Arts at 760 Beta Drive. Both were approved. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Marrie -Mrs. Mills reported that at the last meeting, we discussed <br />the audible pedestrian signal improvements which will be at SOM and Aintree Park, Seneca <br />Drive and SOM and Wilson Mills and SOM and Sandalwood. That will be something new to <br />this area. Highland Heights has it. We also discussed additional personnel Assistant Fire <br />Chief/Fire Marshall position. That's on for discussion. We also discussed the winter salt <br />program. We had 700 tons left over from last year. Hopefully we are not going to use another <br />700 plus this year coming. <br />Grove Committee - Mr. Jerome -This past week we had stand-up comedy with Jeff <br />Blanchard on Friday, July 15th and on Saturday we had Fitness Rocks at the Grove and closed <br />the night out with a performance by the Snazzy Cats. Coming up this week, Thursday, July 21St <br />is Swingtime Big Band. Citizen's Advisory will meet at the pool pavilion and go over there and <br />enjoy the concert. Friday, July 22nd is In Cahootz, a classic rock band. We had to cancel on them <br />
