Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 19, 2016 <br />Page 9 <br />1 <br />Ms. Wolgamuth replied, in terms of timing, I think we need to pass it now in order for the steel. <br />to be ordered. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, I understand that: I am saying construction from start to <br />finish. <br />Ms. Wolgamuth replied, from.; start. to finish, the contract with Skoda Construction would require <br />that they finish the project by May 31st in time for the 2017 season. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, any other discussion items? <br />Dr. Parker asked, does that seem realistic with the weather that we will behaving? <br />Ms. Wolgamuth replied, yes. And that's why they would spend the winter months ordering the <br />materials. Once construction actually starts, I think it's only about a 6-week period. They <br />probably would not start actually building anything probably until about April. And just as a <br />reminder, several months ago we hired Meld Architects to do the design and do the bid <br />specifications and go to bid for this project. We have .done that. He has verified the bids and is <br />very confident that Skoda Construction is capable of completing the project. We have also <br />authorized applying for a grant from the County. That grant is due on Friday. It is essentially . <br />ready to go. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, very good. And what kind of money are we looking at? <br />Ms. Wolgamuth replied, $50,000. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, okay.
