It shows that in January the income tax collection
was $400,000 above the prior year.
Mayor Rinker stated, $451,379.00 to be exact.
Mr. Wynne stated, that's mainly timing difFerence. A good portion will flip next month.
Once we get through the month of March, it will be pretty close on how the year is going
to end up from an income tax collection standpoint with all of the corporate bonuses
being taken care of.
Council President Buckholtz asked, any questions? There were none.
Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Expenditure Approved
• First Reading of Ordinance No. 2013-02, entitled, "An emergency ordinance to
supplement the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio by enacting new Sections
331.43 and 331.44 prohibiting the use of wireless handsets to text message while
driving." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Chief Edelman reported, this will mirror the State law. It's already on the books. If I am not
mistaken; I believe Walter Drane is in the process of updating our ordinances next month
anyway, so it will fall at the right time if we pass this this evening.
Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Mrs. Ivlills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Rules Suspended
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Delguyd, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2013-02.
Council President Buckholtz asked, any questions?
Mr. Marquardt reported, this was discussed in Ordinance Review.
