Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, October 15, 2012
Page 15
Mr. Wynne added, the loan is for $700,000. If you do the math, 60 homes at $10,000 will be
$600,000. When we were doing the application, we factored in inflation costs from the last time
we did the project until now just for purposes of the application. Council has the discretion if
they want to do it as they have in the past and keep it at $10,000, we would do that, but then it
might require a little more contribution on the Village's part in order to do the project.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any other comments or questions. There were
none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Resolution Adopted
OTHER MA:TTERS :
Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any other matters.
Mr. Marrie stated, I received a copy of a letter written to the Mayor from Angelo Basconi in
Hanover concerning some water problems. I have given it to Joa.nne who is Chair of Drainage &
Infrastructure and also Safety and Service to be put on the agenda for discussion which will take
place at the next meeting. I just wanted to point that out. I have a copy for you Dr. Parker and
also for Bill.
Mrs. Betsa reported, hopefully everyone has received their mailings from NOPEC relative to the
new electric progratns. There are also some electric programs not in the mailing that NOPEC is
offering as well. All of that information has been put on the website. I have received a number
of phone ca11s from residents requesting clarification on the different programs. Most
importantly, the deadline date to opt in as opposed to the way they used to handle it before where
if you did nothing at all, you were automatically in it. You have to opt in to one of these
programs by the deadline da.te, of October 31 St. It was to be extended, but they have not decided
to do that yet. Updated information for both electric and gas is on our website, but if anyone has
any questions, please give me a call.
Council President Buckholtz asked about the political sign on Wilson Mills which was billboard
size between Joyce and Worton Park on the south side of Wilson Mills. Do we have any rules?
Mr. Marrelli replied, we have size restrictions. It will be checked out.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adjourn.
