Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, August 18, 2014 <br />Page 4 <br />FIRE -Chief Eugene Carcaoppolo <br />There was nothing to report. <br />FII~dANCE - Ikon Wynne <br />Mr. Wynne reported, Mr. DiNardo and I attended the Tax Incentive Review Committee meeting <br />last week down at the County to go over our TIFs. They were pleased with the performance of <br />the TIFs. All TIFs were approved for extension for another year. <br />Also, last week we sold our short-term $1.1 million Notes at an interest rate of 3.5%. That deal <br />will close next week. Those Notes roll over a year from that date. <br />P~I~ICE -Chief Richard Edelman <br />There was no report <br />PAI2I~.S & RECfl~EA'I'I®l~ - dill ~'hoimas <br />Mr. Thomas reported, we mailed the Fall/Winter Parks a~zd Recreation brochure. Has everyone <br />gotten it? There's a lot of good information on there. <br />Council asked about the statistics for the pool. We were less than in July this year. I thought <br />July was a cold month. August tops it. We closed the pool three days in a row because the <br />temperature was 65 and below. <br />Reporting on Senior Services, Mr. Thomas stated we had a beautiful summer day on the <br />Goodtime III on August 6th. It was a full group. We had to turn away 18 people. We will hold <br />the trip next year. Registration is underway for the next Progressive Wine Tour on October 22"d <br />The next Foot Clinic is Friday, September 12t1'. We are already booked for that. There are a <br />couple openings for the October 10t1i clinic. The next Lunch N Movie is September 10th. The <br />movie is Grand Budapest Hotel. Reservations are due by September 3rd. The Bereavement <br />Support Group session began August 11 tl'. Anew knitting and crocheting class begins on <br />August 15th. The Community Partnership on Aging will host an Introduction to Holistic Health <br />Care at the Community Room on September 19th from 1:00-2:30. Information will be in the <br />Senior Services newsletter.
