iVlinutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, April 21, 2014
Page 3

Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to adopt Resolution Nos. 2014-11, 2014-
12 and 2014-13.
Council President Buckholtz asked, any discussion? There was none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Resolutions Adopted
Chief Carcioppolo recognized Bob Sza.bo, the EXCEL Tech Public Safety Education teacher for the
school system. He had Andy Arth in his class. His work in the high school system also plays into
this entire system of education and tra.ining for everyone. He should be recognized as well since he
is here to honor Andy Arth's work.
Mrs. Mueller wished to address everyone. Martin Luther King, Jr. has always been my hero, but I
have a new one in Andy and in everyone who worked to save my husband. When the Cleveland
Clinic tells you that it is a one in a million miracle that your husband walks away, it really resonates.
They told us that 95% of the people who suffer this kind of heart attack die during the precipitating
incident. Of the 5% who survive, 99% end up with heart or brain damage. My husband walked
away with no damage because of this extraordinaty young man. I can never ever thank you enough.
Thank you.
Mayor Rinker presented the Resolutions to Andy Arth and Lieutenant Girbino.
Council President Buckholtz stated, with everyone here tonight, we do have cookies and some
beverages. We are inviting everyone to partake. You are welcome to stay for the meeting or welcome
to buzz out. We will take a couple minute break and will get right back to our agenda. Thank you
everybody. .
Council took a break at 8:05 p.m.
Council reconvened at 8:10 p.m.
Regular Council Meeting - March 17, 2014
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to approve the minutes as written.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Minutes Approved
