Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, May 19, 2014 <br />Page 7 <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that 560 people attended the Pancake Breakfast. <br />The Memorial Day ceremonies at Whitehaven Cemetery are on May 25I' at 1:00 p.m. This is a <br />very nice service. I hope everyone can attend. Our next meeting will be June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli stated, there was no meeting. There is no report. <br />We have a meeting this week. <br />Board of Anneals - Mr. Marrelli stated, there was no meeting. There is no report. We will be <br />meeting this week. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Mills reported, we have purchased flowers that we will place on the cemetery <br />for the spring and sununer season. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Marrie reported, Citizen's Advisory met and discussed the <br />Communiiy Room. Diane covered it in her report. T'here were four or five good suggestions <br />that came from the group. She is working with John Marrelli on incorporating those suggestions. <br />Safetv and Service - Mr. Marrie reported, Safety and Service met on May 5t'. Items discussed <br />such as the fuel systems for the Fire and Service Departments, concrete repairs in front of <br />Progressive on Wilson Mills are on the agenda this evening. We also discussed the Grove <br />electrical which Diane has covered in her report. <br />Finance Committee -Mr. Delguyd reported, Finance Committee met this evening. All items are <br />on the agenda. We also elected a new chair, Bill Marquardt. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills reported, we have been trying for about a week and half to get <br />the roof put on. Because of the rain, we have had to delay it. On May 21St and 22nd, we will <br />have approximately 95 children from Lander Road School come and tour the house. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Jerome stated, there is a meeting set for Saturday, May 31St <br />They will be discussing Emergency Preparedness. I will be unable to attend. Councilwoman <br />Mills will attend on my behalf. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt stated, there was no meeting. There is no <br />report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt stated, Planning and Zoning had a workshop meeting on <br />the 15th where we reviewed proposed revisions to the building uses and structure of the uses and <br />possible revision to make things more convenient and more up to date. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. , Marrie sta.ted, there is no report. We do not meet during the <br />summertime.
