Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, August 19, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />Phil Weinberg is the Burgess Meredith, Rocky; I can't think of someone else more symbolic of <br />what it takes to pull together a community through youth programming. MARC served such a <br />critical purpose I think in the Hillcrest area especially and in the Mayfield City Schools. I have a <br />lot of fond memories. My kids do. <br />It's really a bittersweet moment to recognize the transition to what I think overall everyone <br />would agree is a very comprehensive full recreation program that covers the whole School <br />District. It never would have happened without the foundation. We have to recognize the people <br />who made this happen. Phil, you are the cornerstone of the recreation program in this area. It is a <br />privilege to introduce this Resolution to Council. I don't think there is going to be trouble <br />passing this tonight. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2013-11. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 2013-12 -"A Resolution of Appreciation to Kay Vincent, Secretary of the <br />Mayfield Area Recreation Council", Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mayor Rinker presented Resolution No. 2013-12 to Kay Vincent, Secretary of the Mayfield Area <br />Recreation Council. Mayor Rinker added, Kay, I want you to know that we have been very <br />proud to have you as one of Mayfield Village's residents, keeping a program that has been so <br />instrumental alive. We want to recognize you for your dedication. Thank you. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2013-12. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, we will take a break for refreshments to celebrate. Thank <br />you for coming out. <br />Council took a break at 8:05 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 8:25 p.m. <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker stated, we had a very nice Appreciation Dinner. I think for everyone's benefit, <br />just as the Mayor was about to speak, the rain came, so everyone got a break. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BUCKHOLTZ <br /> <br /> <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, everyone had a great time at the Appreciation Dinner.
