Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, March 16, 2015 <br />Page 7 <br />NEw IBiTSIlVES <br />1bIotion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $18,630 to WRIS Web Services <br />for website redesign. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Jerome, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of <br />$18,630 to WRIS Web Services for website redesign. . <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, any discussion? Jeff, do you want to jump in here and tell us <br />a little about this? <br />Mr. Jeff Thoinas replied, it's basically a full redesign for our site on the front end and the back <br />end. It will make it more versatile for tablets, phones, any screen size. <br />Mr. Saponaro added, and more in the back end in terms of maintenance and server issues that <br />users may not see, platforms so it's easier to build on, you know the drill. <br />Mr. Jeff Thomas agreed. Better content management. <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, so people understand that completely, in other words, if they <br />want to bring it up on their mobile device, handheld device, other devices on a regular computer, <br />it will be able to take the screen - <br />Mr. Jeff Thomas replied, it will go to the size you need. It won't look the same on each device. <br />Mr. Saponaro stated, it's readable. It does not cut off or truncate anything. <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, we really have not reported on this. How has it grown from <br />the days when we said, it would be nice if you could download a fonn for the Building <br />Department? <br />Mr. Jeff Thomas stated, all of our forms are on-line. Recreation forms are all on-line. You can <br />download all those. When the site first went live in 2010, we were getting about 90,000 page <br />views a year. We are getting over 180,000 now. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, any other comments or questions?
