Minutes of the Regulax Meeting of Council <br />Monday, May 18, 2015 <br />Page 13 <br />of the applicant for the possible investment or expenditure of public funds to be made in <br />connection with the economic developinent project. <br />Roll Ca11: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None <br />Council went in to Executive Session at 8:48 p.m. <br />Council returned at 9:44 p.m. <br />Motion to move that the Mayor be given conceptual approval to negotiate an <br />economic development incentive agreement as discussed with Council with QED for <br />the retention and expansion of their business enterprise within the Village of <br />Mayfield over the next 10 years including an upfront return of income tax from the <br />Village to QED in the form of a grant in the amount of $400,000. <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to move that the Mayor be given <br />conceptual approval to negotiate an economic development incentive agreement as discussed <br />with Council with QED for the retention and expansion of their business enterprise within the <br />Village of Mayfield over the next 10 years including an upfront return of income tax from the <br />Village to QED in the form of a grant in the amount of $400,000. <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, the $400,000 will come from a community economic <br />development fund set up by the Community Economic Development Committee and has a <br />balance over this amount of money. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Saponaro, Mills, Marrie Motion Carried <br />Jerome, Parker, Buckholtz <br />NAYS: Marquardt <br />OTHER:IVIATTERS : <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any other matters. <br />Mr. Jerome stated, it is a good idea to schedule a CEDC meeting to talk about things moving <br />forward and what we want to see in the future. <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, there's lessons we just came out of that with on both sides of <br />the fence. It could be done better. It's a good thing.
