Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, September 21, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />- Mayor-Rinker administered the oath of office to Lieutenant Michael Palumbo. <br />Council President Marne stated, we will take a break for refreshments and cake to celebrate Mike's <br />promotion.. - - - . _. - - ... _ . -....- - - - - <br />__ Council took_ abreak at_8;1O.p.m._ __ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ . _ - <br />Council reconvened at 8:20 p.m. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />- 3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. <br />There were no comments. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Council Meeting -August 17, 8015 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Jerome, made a motion to approve the minutes as written. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None August 17, 2015 Minutes Approved <br />Special Council Meeting -September 8, 2015 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Jerome, made a motion to approve the minutes as written. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None September 8, 2015 Minutes Approved <br />ABSTAIN: Marquardt <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR ItINKER <br />Mayor Rinker stated, I would like to touch upon along-awaited decision from the Ohio <br />Supreme Court involving the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. The main party was Bath <br />Township, I believe, but essentially the ruling ends about a 5-year struggle between a number of <br />municipalities in the Sewer District as to its right to be able to include stormwater management <br />under its charter responsibilities under State statute as a regional entity to be able to include <br />stormwater management as part of its services and two, that it is able to collect service fees for <br />that purpose. <br />
