MINUTES ®F TIIE REGULAR MEETING OF C®UNCIL Mayfield Village Civic Hall Monday, October 19, 2015 - 5:00 p.m. The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Marrie called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Jerome, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker (8:20), Mr. Saponaro and Mr. Williams Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Wynne, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Cappello, Chief Edelman, Chief Carcioppolo, Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, Mr. Thomas, Mr. DiNardo, Ms. Wolgamuth Mr. Esborn and Mrs. Betsa Absent: None The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. SWEARING INCEREMONY - SERGEANT JOHN ARGIE HAYFIELD VILLAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT Mayor Rinker stated, this is kind of celebratory. We normally do not have more people than Roll Call so this is kind of a race event. It is my privilege to do a little ceremonial swearing in tonight of a new Sergeant. Officer Argie didn't really go through the conventional route. I think the basic training defies description. We won't go into it, but I think it's kind of interesting. When he finally decided though that he wanted to be an officer, it's real clear that he really made up his mind and didn't want to just succeed but to excel. We forgive you for leaving-Mayfield Village for a while, but you came back. We are very glad that you did. The highest score on the test by the way, so both booksmart and people smart. Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Sergeant John Argie. Council President Marrie stated, we will take a break for refreshments and cake to celebrate Sergeant Argie's promotion. Congratulations. Council took a break at 8:05 p.m. Council reconvened at 8:15 p.m.
