Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, November 16, 2015 <br />Page 13 <br /> <br />1 <br />Mr. Saponaro stated, we seem to be the two,most expensive communities. <br />Mr. Jerome stated, we talked about this last year. We have a lot of money in this fund <br />correct? <br />Mr. Wynne replied, last time I checked, we had about $1.3-1.4 million in the fund. This is <br />not a fund on our books, it's a fund maintained by the engineer. <br />Mr. Saponaro asked, can we charge less? <br />Mr. Cappello replied, they set the rate. We might be able to go back and negotiate, but the <br />thing is they have also used that money for the pump station project. <br />Mr. Saponaro asked, can we ask for that money to be used for certain projects? <br />Mr. Metzung stated, they are involved with our I&I stuff. As that progresses, that money is <br />going to start getting drawn out. <br />Council President Marrie asked, any further discussion? There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />• First Reading of Ordinance No. 2015-31, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance <br />authorizing and directing the Mayor and President of Council to enter into an economic <br />development grant and incentive agreement between the Mayfield Community <br />Improvement Corporation, Mayfield Village, Ohio, and Mars Electric Co." Introduced <br />by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Jerome, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Jerome, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2015-31. <br />Council President Marrie asked, any discussion? <br />Mr. Saponaro stated, this was discussed during the Community Economic Development <br />Committee meeting. We discussed it briefly at Finance as well with Ted. Council has had <br />an opportunity to discuss this. We are satisfied with the Agreement. We are happy that <br />Mars has saw fit to look at our community as an option. We hope that through this process <br />as we hopefully approve this ordinance which I am confident that we will that we can come <br />
