Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, November 16, 2015 <br />Page 7 <br />I3istorical Society -Mrs. Mills reported, our Holiday Dinner Raffle was asell-out. Our lunch <br />with the Mayfield Village Garden Club will be December 9th here. Our next raffle will be for <br />our quilt in April. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Jerome stated, there is an upcoming meeting entitled Post- <br />Election Cocktail party. It is scheduled for December 3rd from 6-8 at 700 Beta. It's a free event. <br />Let Mary Beth know if you would like to attend. It looks like a nice event. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt stated, there was no meeting. There is no <br />report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt stated, there was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Recreation Board -Council President Marne reported, we met on the 11th. We discussed the <br />Halloween Party for the children on October 24ti'. About 60 children attended. Paul Lynch and <br />the Key Club from the High School did an outstanding job with the Haunted House. Meg did a <br />great job with her committee in decorating. We discussed the Santa Ride. This year it is from <br />10:00-1:30 on December 12th. After that, there will be the usual Holiday Christmas Party for the <br />children in the Community Room. Members discussed Parkview Pool season pass rates and <br />general admission rates also. There is going to be a slight increase for 2016. We also <br />recommended a twilight admission rate for after 5:00 p.m. on weekends and 6:00 p.m. during the <br />week. The resident and school district rate will be $5.00. Non-school district will be $10.00. <br />Softball field rates for tournament use will be finalized. We are working with Mayfield Heights <br />because of all the fields used for tournaments. One community cannot handle it. The increase <br />will cover labor costs for the fields, use of lights, drying agent and a rental fee. Our next meeting <br />is January 20, 2016. <br />Commission on A~in~ -Mrs. Mills reported, we didn't talk about the leaf raking Bill. We <br />should have because it's very interesting. 17 people entered the contest. The Horticulture <br />students, Key Club and Cornerstone School plus resident Paul Lynch from Beech Hill were very <br />instrumental in raking those 17 properties. Our next meeting is January 11th <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Inf®rmation ~ Technology - Mr. Marquardt reported, we have not met for some time, however <br />there will be a meeting on Monday, November 23rd at 5:30. <br />Records Commission -Mrs. Mills reported, our next meeting will be December 16th at 12:00. <br />Community and Economic Development - Mr. Saponaro reported, we met this evening. We <br />discussed finalizing Freedonia. It has been approved with the language approved as an <br />Ordinance previously. We also discussed Mars Electric which is on the agenda for this evening's <br />Council meeting. <br />The Grove Committee - Mr. Jerome stated, Garry Regan provided a presentation to Council <br />during the November Caucus. He would like the Mayor and Council to move forward with some <br />
