They will have business functions, wedding
receptions and parties. They have the technology set up for business conferences and rumor has
it that Progressive will be booking many of their training sessions in the Conference Center as
well so any of the businesses in the area that want to rent a large or small space for social
function, business activities or educational seminars, it would be available for them. They have a
full kitchen and full bar. They have a choice of five rooms of varying sizes depending on how
big your crowd is. Everything is booked through the hotel.
Mayor Rinker asked, basically who runs it? Mr. Marrelli replied, the manager of the hotel will be
coordinating all of the efforts there.
Council President Buckholtz stated, it sounds like a great, potentially thriving business. We
certainly would not want to obj ect to this.
Mayor Rinker stated, historically from the very beginning, that was a feature that they promoted
when they were developing the site. OMNI came in about five or six years ago. They finally got
it done.
Mr. Marrelli stated, it's done. Ready to go.
