Minutes of the Special Meeting of Council
6-7-10
Page 4
Marge Eisenberg
6783 Seneca
Now that we have additional money, she would like to ask what the plan is for that money.
Where is it going to go? Will the residents in this Village know exactly what it is going to be
spent on.
Mayor Rinker replied, yes, they will. One of the key things we have worked on is to work out a
five-year infrastructure capital improvement plan. We are in the process of doing that.
Department Heads have submitted their proposals. The Finance Director is looking through that.
Mayor Rinker has had initial discussion with him. He will follow up with direct discussion with
Department Heads. It's a big issue. We also have issues involving the overall retirement of
debt. That's another component. It's one of the two key pieces, infrastructure, debt payment, we
still have to negotiate contract with our employees going forward starting in the year 2011.
Those discussions have not yet begun. However, we have letters of understanding with our
workforce on the paycuts that they had agreed to for the first part of the year. That deals with
another big component. Beyond that, in terms of any operational issues, pretty much as we are
addressing them in the meetings between agendas, those preriy much stay at status quo. Right
now that pretty much covers where we are. There will be some further long-term planning.
That's an ongoing matter between Administration and Council. We will definitely talk about
those issues.
Council President Buckholtz thanked Mrs. Eisenberg for asking.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any other matters. There were none.
ADJOURNMEN'T
Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adjourn.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The next Council meeting is
BUCKIFOLTZ,
for June 21, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.
EN
, .
,
i
MARY E. ETSA, CLERK OF CO CIL

? ?
