There was a different cupola in the front on the east end. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, more like a spire? <br />Mr. Marrelli replied, yes, it's called the bell tower. We had to get that one done because it was <br />leaking and we were getting ready to work on remodeling the theater area. We took care of that <br />one. We had the cross taken down off''of what they call a spire. I put together a budget number <br />to reroute this building with_,tlie hopes that if the bids came in low enough that I could pull out <br />some money to finish and change the cupola and do the spire the way we intended to do it five <br />years ago. <br />Mr. Saponaro asked, this is the other spire though? <br />Mr. Marrelli replied, yes. This is what we call the tower. This is like our main tower. There is <br />still a bell in front. It doesn't ring anymore. What happened was and I will kind of criss-cross <br />between this item and the next agenda item. <br />Council President Buckholtz stated, I was going to say, in a way it's tied to the next item. <br />, Mr. Marrelli agreed. They do. They correspond with each other and are based on the budget. If <br />we can get the shingles done and the cupola done all this Fall, then we are done with the top end <br />of this building finally. . <br />Mr. Marrie stated, under what you predicted. <br />Mr. .Marrelli agreed. Yes, less money than I anticipated. <br />Mr. Saponaro stated, what John discussed in Finance with us because this was not on our Caucus <br />for us to discuss prior to this, , . <br />Mr. Marrelli stated, because the bids hadn't come in yet. <br />Mr. Saponaro agreed. Ron did discuss this at the last Caucus and said this is what is coming, the <br />bids did not come in. If you recall on the roofing which goes together with this, there was the <br />initial bids. They were thrown out. Mr. Marrelli stated, there was only one bid. <br /> <br />Mr. Saponaro, stated, right, $196,000. <br />Mr. Marrelli stated, there was no competition. <br />? Mr. Saponaro stated, so they went back. They had put aside how much for the maintenance for <br />the roofing, the insulation and the cupola for the year?
