Regular Council Minutes <br />September 20, 2010 <br />Page 22 <br />Motion to acknowledge receipt of the fmancial reports for August, 2010 and to <br />approve of same as submitted. <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to acknowledge receipt of the financial <br />reports for August, 2010 and to approve of same as submitted. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Financial Reports for August 2010 <br />Acknowledged and Approved <br />As Submitted <br />• First Readin2 of Ord'unance No. 2010-36 entitled, "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />an agreement with Principal Financial as and for an employee AD&D, Life and Dental <br />program." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro made a motion to enact Ordinance 1Vo. 2010-36. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Wynne reported that we went out and competitively bid our dental coverage and life <br />insurance coverage for our employees through multiple carriers. Principal Financial came <br />back with the best pricing and actually a better provider network. They will provide the <br />same level of coverage for our employees and in the process over an 18-month contract we <br />will be saving about $36,000. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any other questions or comments.
