On the other hand, history <br />has demonstrated that elected officials, and I think every one of the Councilpeople I <br />know are very very conscientious about a decision like that. They're pretty conservative <br />and they are concerned about making the wrong decision. <br />Q: And I agree with you. But the same people are not always going to be in your position. <br />Mayor Rinker: No, they get elected. <br />Q: Yes, they do. And we see - <br />Mayor Rinker: by referendum vote. <br />Q: -and we see a lot of people who are elected to a lot of places. <br />Mayor Rinker: Well hopefully we're not too frightening. <br />* * * <br />Q: Historically Constitutions and Charters were written to protect the rights of the citizens. <br />And right now our rights are protected the way it is written. <br />Mayor Rinker: Is this a question? <br />Q: Oh, yes. How - <br />Mayor Rinker: Just making sure. <br />Q: I'm sorry. How do the next two or 84 and 86 protect our rights if we vote yes? How do <br />those protect our rights? <br /> <br /> <br />
