<br />CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION - A NEW COIVIlVIISSION MUST BE APPOINTED
<br />EVERY 5 YEARS PER CHAI2TER AIVENDMENT PASSED IN NOVE1\4BER,1994. Ordinance
<br />99-32 specifies: "In January,1995, and each five years thereafter, the Mayor and each member
<br />of Council shall appoint one elector each (for a total of $), who shall be electors o£ the
<br />municipality holding no other elective office, in the government of the municipality, as
<br />members of the Charter Review Commission." (Ordinance also outlines specific duties of
<br />CRC members.) While there is no exact term specified in the Charter, it states that "the
<br />appointees must xeview the Charter within 5 months of appointment and then hold a review
<br />session with Council. A Charter Review Commission must be appointed in january 2000.
<br />Mayor Rinker and each member of Council have designated an appointee. The appointments
<br />to the 2000 Charter Review Commission are as follows:
