Regular Council Meeting <br />417-00 <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Ilacqua said he was aware of the meeting. <br />Mayor Rinker read part of a letter he received from the Cuyahoga County Engineer <br />about annual intersection count reports. The letter explained that they are in the _ <br />process of selecting which intersections to count this summer and asked if we have any <br />particular intersections that need to be counted to contact them. Mayor Rinker said <br />with the S.O.M. widening, we will want to discuss this. He will make sure Council <br />receives copies of this also. <br />Mayor Rinker said he understands that Miki Steigerwald is Councilman Buckholtz's <br />replacement for the Charter Review Commission. (She was not in the audience to <br />receive her oath.) Mayor Rinker asked that Council approve her appointrnent this <br />evening. <br />Mayor Rinlcer said Mr. Asamoto has stepped down as the Village Plans Examiner on <br />the Architectural Review Board. He asked that Council consider amending the agenda <br />to adopt a Resolution of Appreciation to Mr. Asamoto at tonight's meeting. <br />Mayor Rinker said that Mr. Samac had to attend a funeral memorial service for a close <br />friend and will be here as soon as he can. Mayor Rinker said he feels that despite Mr. <br />Catalano's request to hold Executive Sessions at the end of the meeting, it would make <br />sense from a timing standpoint to hold it ahead of time--it is critical that Mr. Samac be <br />on hand for any cliscussion regarding the Special Use Pernlit. <br />COMWNTS FROIVI COUNCIL PRESIDENT MARQLTARDT , <br />Council President Marquardt asked for a volunteer from Council to review the draft <br />update he received from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District and share their <br />comments. <br />Mr. Buckholtz said he will volunteer. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Law Deparhnent - Mr. Diemert said the F.O.P. contract appears to have met the terms <br />of Counc?'s reqiurement; he does not know if that is what they want to talk about in <br />Executive 5essio'?.: <br />Council President 1Viarquardt said yes. <br />Fire Department - Chief Mohr said bie3TCle helmets [for children] are on sale at the Fire <br />Department.
