Regular Council Meeting <br />5-15-00 <br />Page 4 <br />Dr. Parker said he thinks the limit was $225,000. <br />A brief discussion was held. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said they will be meeting this Saturday at <br />Landerhaven. Everyone should have received notification and sent in their R.S.V.P.'s. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said work is continuing on the one-room schoolhouse. <br />The main floor has been completed. The next item will be the teacher's platform. After <br />that, the school desks will be put in place. There will be two ninth grade classes touring <br />the Historic House tomorrow. She read the letter from the Society thanking Mayor <br />Rinker and Council for the annual contribution. Mrs. Mills presented Mayor Rinker a <br />picture of the Historic House. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met May 11. There was no quorwra but they discussed <br />the outcome of the MBA Program. We are $42.63 to the good and had expected to be in <br />the red for this first year program. It was an absolute success. Kudos to Mr. Thomas <br />for fine tuning that program. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said they met last Tuesday and <br />recommended the U 4 zoning classification be tabled. After much discussion and <br />review they felt the Village could accomplish its needs by moving any Village-owned <br />property not currently zoned U-1 to U-1. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mrs.lVlills said they will hold a Workshop Meeting on May 18. <br />Mayor Rinker thinks everyone should attend. <br />Mr. Samac said he received a letter of interest regarding the vacant property on Beta <br />Drive between the two Centerior properties (a 5-acre parcel.) They have not submitted <br />any specific plans but would like to infornlally sit down with Planning and Zoning and <br />Council (at Caucus) to discuss the possibility of having a white tablecloth type <br />restaurant with a business-type hotel on that property. Based on it a 5-acre parcel, it <br />would probably be a littler smaller facility than the Holiday Inn. <br />Mayor Rinker said he thinks it would be good if everyone would come to the meeting <br />to see what ideas they are talking about. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said they will be meeting this Wednesday. They are <br />planning what direction to take next regarding the North Chagrin Commons. There <br />will be representatives from Collins Gordon Bostwick at the meeting. The Teen Board , <br />met today and set a date for the third get together/band at Parkview Pool on July 14. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said there was no report
