Regular Council Minutes -~
11-18-02
Page 14
Council President Buckholtz said I have no problem with that. I mean I have no problem with
discussing that in Caucus if that's Council's wish, I have no problem going it. I'll just say this:
with the first part of Phase One, you know, I think we'll all agree on. I mean it's just integrating
the systems, but is time of any kind of essence?
Mr. Brett said no, I was going to agree with Mr. Biter; table it and ask BTS to come in; ask as
many questions as you would like.
Council President Buckholtz said because I'll tell you one other thing that BTS is that you can do
the initial work, you can do the assessment work, but they said until you know what you want,
until you know what the applications are and the software and what you want to achieve in the
Village, you will not go to Phase 2, you will not know it. So, nobody is arguing. That is
absolutely correct.
Mr. Marquardt said but that's something you do before you get the consultant in to evaluate-
that's the backwards part.
Dr. Parker made a motion to table....
Mr. Hanculak said the mover will have to withdraw.
Council President Buckholtz asked who made the motion.
Mrs. Roman said it was many pages back--Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco.
Council President Buckholtz asked, would you care to make a motion to withdraw your motion?
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to withdraw their previous motion to authorize
an expenditure in the amount of $8,700 to BTS to undertake Phase I of a telecommunications
analysis.
Council President Buckholtz said okay, now we need a motion to table it.
Mr. Biter, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to table the motion to authorize an expenditure in
the amount of $8,700 to BTS to undertake Phase I of a telecommunications analysis.
Mrs. Mills said I might add that it was approved in Finance tonight.
Council President Buckholtz said well, I don't think there's a-if I could say for the record, I don't
you'll find a disagreement in the fundamentals of looking at the systems that we currently have and
making them all work together. I don't think anyone will argue that. But I definitely agree, I'm
chomping at the bit to talk with everybody and get consensus about what we think we can do as a
Village and maybe what's out of the scope of the Village. So, it's fine with me. Do we need a roll
call, a vote or something on this?
