PRD Meeting
11-25-02
Page 24
Mrs. Mills said on page 12, at the top of the page it says about the Village Council shall review
the final development plan as approved by Planning & Zoning Commission. Any modifications
required by Council shall be submitted for approval prior to the start of construction. Is that
what you are looking for?
Council President Buckholtz and Mr. Samac said yes.
Council President Buckholtz said yes, I mean, I like the wording in the equivalency
consideration, you know, that's the kind of things I often talk about in these commercial projects
is being imaginative and skillful and not taking the code too, you know, too hard and fast, but
looking at the project as whole. But at the same time, I want to make sure that all legislative and
all research bodies and everyone that's involved in the process is still-that we are working the
same way.
Mrs. Mills said on page 11, it says on the bottom, in 3, it says, any changes in an approved
preliminary development plan or final development plan shall be submitted for approval in
accordance with Section 1159.10 so it's referring back and forth. Right. Modification.
Mr. Farmer said Bernie, there was one thing that P&Z left undressed. I haven't been to all the
Council meetings, so I don't know if you did it or not, but the definition of "family."
Mrs. Cinco said we had a memo from Diane on that; I remember that. Yeson what is a family.
Mr. Samac said a family is anything you want it to be. We do have a definition of a family and I
believe that this definition, I think, Diane Calta from Joe Diemert's office clarified that this
pretty much is the IRS definition of a family. It works for me.
Council President Buckholtz asked, well, where are we at? Do people have more questions, or
what.. .
Mr. Samac said well, Mr. Chairman, if you'd like, Mr. President, what, I mean, any other
discussion certainly is welcome, but what I'll try to do is we'll get this retyped with today's date
on it and....
