J
-? MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL
? Mayfield Village
January 27, 2003
The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, January 27, 2003, at 8:00
p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill Buckholtz
presided.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills
Dr. Parker and Mr. Riter
Absent: Mr. Marrie
Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Ms. Ca1ta, Mr. Cappello, Lt. Dearden
Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, W. Samac,
Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Roman
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
_, :.. . -..
OPEN PQRTIQN
Mr. William Riter. 6867 Wildwood Trail left his seat at the Council table and walked to the
? lectern before speaking. Thank you for allowing me to speak before Village Council. I am
concerned with two decisions rendered by the Board of Appeals at their most recent meeting.
They approved 4 variances at the old Stanley Works building at 700 Beta Drive. I am formally
appealing two of the four variances they have granted and I am just giving the Council Clerk a
letter doing just that. (He handed a copy of the letter to Mrs. Roman.) The first allowed for a
pole sign that would be in excess of 40' tall; the second allowed outside of storage on the same
property. I feel both of these work against the best interests of the Village, the residents and the
feel of our community and I look forward to Village Council reviewing these 2 items. I am also
requesting a vote of Council when a117 members of Council are present. Overturning a vote of
the Board of Appeals requires 5 votes per Code, Section 1105.01(d). I am appealing.this as a
resident of the Village and not in my capacity as a Councilman. Thank you.
Council President Buckholtz said thank you, Mr. Riter.
CONSIDER.ATION OF MINUTES
Regular Council Meeting - December 16, 2002, Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a
motion to approve the minutes.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
.?
1
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Minutes Approved
