KALINA <br />Director of Human Services <br />COMMISSION ON AGING/ HUMAN SERVICES <br />February 17, 2003 <br />Last Monday was the annual Commission on Aging's "Thank You" <br />luncY;eon for Village employees. It was well attended and deemed a big <br />success. . <br />The Card Group was happy to get back on schedule after the Community <br />Room repairs. Many hearty seniors brave the inclement weather for two <br />afternoons out each week. <br />We are currently accepting reservations for the high school musical <br />Into the Woods to which school district seniors are invited free of charge <br />Thursday,.March 13. A ticket or a senior activity pass is required. <br />Our next big event is the anniversary party Saturday, May 17. Our <br />next trip is Wednesday, June 11 when we will visit Stan Hywet Hall in <br />Akron and the Kent State Fashion Museum. More information on both of <br />tt:ese events is in the recreation bulletin and the Voice of the Village. <br />Mayfield Vil-lage will be featured in the Plain Dealer later this <br />month. I was contacted by the reporter, at the suggestion of Mayor <br />Rinker, for information regarding our senior program. <br />I am continuing to gather information on emergency contact devices <br />for our seniors.
