Regular Council Meeting <br />5-19-03 <br />Page 23 - <br />First Readiniz of Ordinance No. 2003-15, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a purchase agreement with Edward R. Falkner, as trustee of the <br />Edward R. Falkner Trust dated October 7,1991, as and for the acquisition of a part of the <br />real estate located at 710 S.O.M. Center Road, referred to as Parcel4." . <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2003-15. <br />Council President Buckholtz said this has been covered by the Finance Director. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First ReadinE of Ordinance No. 2003-16, entitled; "An emergency ordinance creating <br />certain positions and compensation therefore relevant to Pi Society Club Summer <br />Program." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Ms. Calta and Council President Buckholtz noted the compensation amount was amended from <br />$14-18 to from $14-15 for the Directors. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Dr. Paxker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2003-16. <br />Mr. Marquardt asked if Mayfield Village is still the sole supporter of this project? <br />Council President Buckholtz said as of now--yes. We really haven't done anything in terms of <br />the location; it has mainly been field trips which have been reimbursed. It's kind of like a status <br />quo. <br />Mr. Marquardt said we are now voting here to put a position in place to hire somebody at Village <br />expense and there is no compensation from any other communities that benefit from this.
