Mayfield Union Cemetery <br />May 19, 2003 <br />There was a workday at the Cemetery and the Bennett'Van Curan Historical House for <br />the 10 Horticultural Students, 2 teachers, and Garden Club Members. The Horticultural <br />School has donated a total of 34 flats of annual flowers for plantings at the above. Total <br />value of the flats of flowers is $379.00. The Students, teachers and Garden Club <br />Members were treated to a pizza lunch with cookies. <br />The Students will return on June 6, for a final mulching of the beds and other work. <br />A Horticultural Student, Branden Gayke will be the summer helpez for the Garden Club <br />Members to help weed and what ever is necessary. He will start working June 16 and <br />continue fnr 11 weeks and will also help in the spring for cleanup. He will receive $7.50 <br />per hour. Total expenditure will be $420.00, this amount will be divided equally by <br />Mayfield Village, the Cemetery Fund, and the Garden Club. <br />The Garden Club presented Scholarships to8 Graduating Students from the Horticultural <br />School and one from the High School. <br />) <br />l, <br />?;
