Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 18, 2017 <br />Page 4 <br />Mr. Jerome stated, I am not going anywhere. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, wonderful. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />John Marrelli (Euilding) - Happy Retirement Tom. Not you, Steve, you have to keep working. <br />- Architectural Review Board - We met last week on the Artis Memory Care Building <br />and came to agreements on the materials and colors. <br />- Planning and Zoning -0ur last meeting was the preliminary site approval for the Artis <br />Memory Care Building on North Commons. <br />Mary Setsa (Council) - It's listed under the Charter that the Clerk serves at the pleasure of <br />Council. Tom, it's been a pleasure serving you. Thank you very much. <br />- Records Commission - We will be meeting in February to continue discussion of <br />digitizing and scanning perinanent records. <br /> <br />Chief Carcioppolo (Fire) - Just wanted to echo the comments to both Councilmen for their <br />service and wish everyone Happy Holidays from the Fire Department. Updating on our calls for <br />this month, we did 108 calls as of today. You just heard the siren go by, that was another one for <br />today. We are at 1266 for the year. Last year at this time we were at 1137. We are 129 ca11s <br />ahead of where we were last year. As of today, there are 12 candidates signed up to take our <br />next entrance test. It's been open since November 6t'. It will be open until February 5ffi. We <br />will post it in the paper again in January to try to get more people to sign up. Thank you for your <br />time. Happy Holidays! <br />Shane McAvinew (Parks and Recreation) - I would like to thank Mr. Marrie and Mr. Jerome <br />for welcoming me to the Village. It has been a great year. I have had the pleasure of working <br />with both of you during the year. I would still like to work with Steve. I would like to see Mr. <br />Marrie's smiling face axound the Village. <br />. Senior Services - Approximately 70 people showed up at the Senior Party on December <br />8t". Mayor Bodnar was there. State Representative Marlene Anielski was there. <br />Representative Patsy Mills was also there and myself among the 70 people. It was a fun ? <br />day. Pictures were posted on Facebook. Special thanks to our Santa Claus, Chief <br />Carcioppolo. He did a wonderful job. There are no trips in January or February_ due to <br />weather conditions. There will be a Lunch-N-Learn on January 19t' at the Civic Center. <br />The deadline to receive snow removal applications to opt-out was in October but we are <br />still receiving applications. We have currently 246 applications to opt-in to date. Please <br />remind your neighbors to submit them if they have not already done so. Seniors have <br />until December 31 St to submit the opt-out applications. We have received over 90 <br />applications to opt-out this year. The next Foot Clinics are on January 12"' and 26th at the <br />Civic Center. The cost will go up to $25 next year. The January Lunch-N-Movie at <br />Governor's Village has not been announced, but the date will be on January 17th. For the
