RESOLUTION NO. 2018-22 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY:RESOLUTION - : ' AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE = - TO ACCEPT.THE BID OF R.J. PLATTEIoT CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE - FIRST RESPONDERS MEIVIORIAL 'P12AILHEAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, based upon recominendation,. it has been deemed in the best iriterest of the health, safety and . welfare of all . Village residents and. inliabitants to undertake tlie First Responders Memorial Trailhead Improvement Project_in the Village; and WHEREAS,.the bids for the aforementioned project were received, opened and tabulated as per published notice therefore on May 4, 2018; and WHEREAS, the bid of R.J. Platten Contracting Company was the lowest and best bid received; and ' . WHEREAS, said bid was in the amount of $372,077.00; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has hereto reviewed the bids and recommended that the City Council approve and accept the aforementioned bid for said project. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of R.J. Platten Contracting Company in the amount of $372,077.00 and the construction contract is hereby awarded to R.J. Platten Contracting Company. SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into contract with R.J. Platten Contracting Company for the First Responders Memorial Trailhead Improvement Project. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
