RESOLUTION NO. 2018-24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO EXPEND FUNDS <br />FOR CUSTOM METAL WORK FOR THE <br />FIRST RESPONDER'S MEMORIAL TRAILHEAD <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to construct the First <br />Responder's Memorial Trailhead in the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has a piece of the World Trade Center that is <br />required to be displayed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield wishes to incorporate the display of the piece of the <br />World Trade Center into the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield wishes to commission a custom metal armature and <br />custom metal bike rack from Rustbelt Welding in order to incorporate them into the First <br />Responders Memorial Trailhead. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIEI;D VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby approves and authorizes an <br />expenditure not to exceed $6,400 to Rustbelt Welding for a custom metal armature and custom <br />metal bike rack for the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into contract with Rustbelt Welding for a custom metal armature <br />and custom metal bike rack for the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resoiution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
