RESOLUTION 2018-25 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF TRAX <br />CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE BETA DRIVE STORM RELIEF'SEWER AND <br />PALERMO DETENTIOIlT POND EXPANSION PItOJECT <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommenciation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to undertake the Beta Drive Storm <br />Relief Sewer and Palermo Detention Pond Expansion Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids for the aforementioned project were received, opened and tabulated <br />as per published notice on May 4, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Trax Construction Company was the lowest and best bid received; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said bid was in the amount of $1,457,549.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has hereto reviewed the bids and recommended that the <br />City Council approve and accept the aforementioned bid for said project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of <br />Trax Construction Company in the amount of $1,457,549.00 and the construction contract is <br />hereby awarded to Trax Construction Company. <br />SECTIOlaI2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into contract with Trax Construction Company for the Beta Drive <br />Storm Relief Sewer and Palermo Detention Pond Expansion Project. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requireinents including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
