RESOLUTION 2018-25 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF TRAX CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE BETA DRIVE STORM RELIEF'SEWER AND PALERMO DETENTIOIlT POND EXPANSION PItOJECT WHEREAS, based upon recommenciation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to undertake the Beta Drive Storm Relief Sewer and Palermo Detention Pond Expansion Project; and WHEREAS, the bids for the aforementioned project were received, opened and tabulated as per published notice on May 4, 2018; and WHEREAS, the bid of Trax Construction Company was the lowest and best bid received; and WHEREAS, said bid was in the amount of $1,457,549.00; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has hereto reviewed the bids and recommended that the City Council approve and accept the aforementioned bid for said project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of Trax Construction Company in the amount of $1,457,549.00 and the construction contract is hereby awarded to Trax Construction Company. SECTIOlaI2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into contract with Trax Construction Company for the Beta Drive Storm Relief Sewer and Palermo Detention Pond Expansion Project. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requireinents including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
