RESOLUTION 20l 8-26 <br />1NTROllUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN C1VIERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />tlUTHOKIZING T1HE V[LLAGE OF MAYFIELI) TO ENTER iNTU A COMMUNITY <br />COST-SHARC AGREiCN[ENT WITH THC NORTHEAST OHIO REGTONAL 5EWER <br />D[STRICT FOR TNE BETA DRIVE STORM IaELIEF SEWER AND PALERMO <br />DETENTION POND EXPANS30N PROJEC'I' <br />WHCREAS, the Noriheast Ohio Regiona] Sewer District, as a component of <br />implementing a regional stormwater management program, manages a financial account termed <br />the "Community Cosl-Share Accounl" that is far the aggregation and dissemination of funds <br />derived fram revenues collected from the Stormwater Fee; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the Communiiy Cost-Share Account is to provide Eunding ta <br />assist the Village with District - approved projects through the Community Cost-Share Program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Uie Northeast Oliio Regional 5ewer District supports the Beta Drive $torm <br />Rclief Sewer and Palermo Deteniion Pond Expansion Project; and <br />WIiE1tEAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and <br />wclfare of all Villagc residents to enter into the Community Cost Share-Share Agreemeni with <br />the Northeast Ohio Regionat Sewer Districi in order to receive funding for the Beia Drive Storm <br />Relief Sewer and Palerrno Detention Pond Expansion Project. NOW, TFiEREFO]2E, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Viilage of Mayfield, <br />County of Cuyalioga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1. '['hat Council of the Village of May6eld finds that it is in the best interesC <br />of the Viilage of Mayfield to cnter into the Community Cost Share-Share Agreement with the <br />NorEheast Ohio Regional Sewer District for the Beta Drive Storm Relief Sewer and Palermo <br />Detention Pond Expansion Project. <br />SECTYON 2. 'Chat the Village Mayor, or her authorized representaiive, is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into the Community Cost-Share Agreement with the Northeast <br />Ohio Regional Sewer Districl, attachcd hereto as Exliibit A, and to provide aIl information and <br />documentation required. <br />SECTION 3. That the Village of Mayficld does hereby agree to obligatc the funds <br />required to satisfactorily comp3ete the proposed project and become eligible for reimbursement <br />under the terms of the Community Cost Share-Share Agreement in compliance with the Regional <br />Slarmwater Management Program.
