RESOLUTION NO: 2018-28 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN ElVIERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHO1tiZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO EXPEND FUNDS <br />TO THE WALTER H. DRANE COMPANY <br />FOR UPI)ATED CODIFIED ORDINANCES FOR 2018 <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and_inhabitants to. update the codified ordinances of the Village of Mayfield to <br />conform with current state law and as required by the Ohio Constitution; and <br />WHEREAS, various ordinances of general and permanent nature have been passed by <br />Council which should be included in the codified ordinances of the Village of Mayfield; and <br />, WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has heretofore entered into a contract with The <br />Walter H. Drane Company to prepare and publish such revisions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk of Council of the Village of Mayfield has reviewed and approved <br />of the invoice submitted by The Walter H. Drane Company and .recommends-that an expenditure <br />for the invoice be approved. . <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILI,AGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby approves and authorizes an <br />expenditure of $6,314.83 to The Walter H. Drane Company for the preparation and revisions of <br />the codified ordinances of the Village of Mayfield for 2018. - <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements•of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that there exists an imperative necessity for the earliest <br />publication and distribution of current replacement pages to the officials and residents of the <br />Village, so as to facilitate administration, daily operation and avoid practical and legal <br />entanglements. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative
