? <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-44 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT TgIE BID OF FESBRIZI <br />TRUCHING & PAVING CO., INC. FOR EMERGENCY PAVEMENT REFAIR ON <br />THORNAPPLE DRIVE IN THE AlVIOUNT OF $55,449.50 <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to repair the current damage to <br />the pavement of Thornapple Drive caused by the water main break located in front of 6821 <br />Thornapple Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the water main break and resulting damage to Thornapple Drive constitute <br />emergency conditions under R.C. 735.051; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., Inc. was the lowest and best bid <br />received on September 27, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, said bid was in the amount of $55,449.50 including a contingency for <br />unforeseen conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has hereto reviewed the three (3) bids and <br />recommended that the City Council approve and accept the aforementioned bid for said project. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of <br />Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., Inc. in the amount of $55,449.50 and the construction contract is <br />hereby awarded to Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., Inc. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into contract with Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., Inc. for the <br />emergency paving repairs to Thornapple Drive. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took
