V <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-46 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AiJTHORIZING 1VIAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ENTER I11v11T0 <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH BRANDSTETTER CARROL, INC. <br />FOR PLANNING, PROGRAMMING AND DESIGN SERVICES <br />WITH RESPECT TO THE <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE CIVIC CENTER IMPROVEMENTS <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,400.00 <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to engage a professional <br />architectural firm in order to determine the most efficient space for the Civic Center and to <br />prepare plans for necessary ADA improvements, address security issues, audio/visual upgrades, <br />and HVAC repairs; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Mayfield Village's professional services selection policy <br />a request for qualifications was sent and three architectural firms responded with proposals; and <br />WHEREAS, Brandstetter Carroll, Inc. submitted a proposal in the amount of $19,400.00; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village administration reviewed the proposals and <br />recommends that the Village Council approve and accept the proposal of Brandstetter Carroll, <br />Inc. in the amount of $19,400.00. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the <br />proposal of Brandstetter Carroll Inc. and authorizes entering into an agreement with Brandstetter <br />Carroll Inc. in the amount of $19,400.00, attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into an agreement with Brandstetter Carroll Inc. for planning, <br />programing and design services with respect to the Mayfield Village Civic Center improvements. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
